About the Chatham Health Alliance

The Alliance is a collaborative of Chatham County agencies and community members working together to improve health and wellbeing in Chatham County. Our work takes place in our health priority subcommittees which are identified in the Community Assessment

Mission

To bring organizations and residents together to work on issues affecting health in Chatham County, with a focus on the health priorities identified in the Community Health Assessment. 

Vision

Our vision is an active, thriving community for all-a Chatham where residents of all races, religions, ethnicity, sexual orientations, and/or gender identities achieve optimal health.

OUR WORK

Subcommittees

The Chatham Health Alliance is made up of subcommittees who focus on collective action work of the Health Priorities of Chatham County. Learn more about the work, members, and meetings of each of the Subcommittees by going to the subcommittee page.

Equity Subcommittee

The Equity Subcommittee is a standing committee of the Alliance who focuses on ensuring a foundation of Equity throughout the Chatham Health Alliance policies, practices, and programs.

Access Subcommittee

The Access Subcommittee focuses on the equitable accessibility of physical, mental, and behavioral health services.

HEAL Subcommittee

The Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) Subcommitteefocuses on access to and promotion of physical activity and nutritious foods.

Resilience Subcommittee

The Economic Stability and Resilience Subcommittee focuses on the social determinants of health, community connectedness, and economic mobility.

Programs

The Chatham Health Alliance houses multiple collective action programs. These are programs which were born our of the Subcommittees and are implemented and sustained by Alliance staff.

Community Action Team

The CAT is a group of Chatham County community members coming together to advise Chatham Health Alliance programming, specifically the Communtiy Assessment.

Community Resource Hub

The Hub is a mobile co-location of Chatham County resources and services. We partner with local service providers to provide FREE resources including hot meals, groceries, mental health services, on-site vaccines and testing, substance misuse sevices, books and activities for youth, housing assistance, and more! 

Youth Voices of Chatham

Youth Voices is a youth council and leadership training program who's goal is to provide leadership growth opportunities to youth and a platform for youth to advise county decision makers on important issues.
